Table Quiz?
Fundraising kicked off its year with over 150 people at its annual Table Quiz. Read a full review and view pictures here.Definitely a night to remember! With an estimated turnout of 130, over €650 was raised for the VDP - out-doing even our wildest expectations!
33 teams of 5 (roughly!) competed over 8 rounds of questions, covering topics like film, music, TV and general knowledge. There were also many spot prizes on offer throughout the night, in categories such as 'Best Chat-Up Line' and a special prize for the person who sang the theme tune to their favourite kids' TV programme. The prize for best team name went to the deserving 'Quiz in my Pants' - five +1 tickets to DISCOTEKKEN on the 21st of November in the Twisted Pepper.
As ever, the other prizes on the night were diverse in both variety and quality, ranging from a DVD copy of '300', to a set of mini prefumes, to a broken kite for the team who managed to get no points in a round.
MC for the night, Stephen Denham, continuously found himself stuck while attempting to read the questions and answers - but he did a great job keeping everybody entertained. He capped off what was an atrocious night for his self-confidence with a bit of political controversy by forgetting to mention that Tibet is in China!
Thank-you so much to everyone who came out and supported the VDP - we hope you all enjoyed yourselves.
