Soup Run
Tuesdays, 20:00 - 23:00
The Soup Run involves meeting up every Tuesday to give food and clothing to Dublin's homeless community, come rain, hail or shine! It is such a worthwhile activity, and is very much appreciated by the people we help. Living on the streets on a cold night in Dublin is no fun at all, so we are always looking for volunteers who are happy to have a quick chat to them to keep their spirits up. By helping out, even if it's just for one night in the whole college year, you'll be making a real difference to the lives of others
Another benefit to this activity is that it is very flexible, so if you can't commit to something because you're not sure that you'll be able to participate every single week, this activity is for you. Also, this activity is great for meeting new people from college that you might not meet otherwise, and as you should know by now, VDP is not just about the work you do but the friends you make!
Trinity VDP's 'Big Chrimbo Panto' won Best Civic Contribution in a Large College at the BICS National Awards 2010.
We are proud to say that Trinity Vincent de Paul was voted the Best Overall Society of 2009-10.
Over 80 students, dressed to impress, ended up in Kells of all places. See pics
